History repeats itself and so does fashion. This is obvious in our postmodern culture thinking today, especially in fashion. Vintage t-shirts become more popular than it was on its first introduced to the world. The “I love Lucy” shirt for example is a t-shirt that shows love for Lucy, it is based from a TV show that was aired decades ago. Vintage shirts are mostly old fashioned designs that were brought back to life by some creative minds produced by a postmodern culture.
Another type of attractive vintage shirt is called the ‘graphic tees’ which highlights a particular year that was special for a particular reason. This type of tees has the design of Marilyn Monroe’s or Jimmy Hendrix’s photo which makes it looks more uniquely retro.
The year 1950’s was memorable for its advertisement and illustrations. Designs of that decade were also used in the collection of vintage designed shirts. The t-shirt has photographic design and other popular advertisements.
Those people who love their personal computers so much also have a room for vintage tees. Computer geeks can now see themselves being fashionable through old fashioned style of computers that were used a shirt designs.
Vintage shirts are usually available at a very high price, this is not surprising though because we all know what is “in” today is most of the time, expensive.
Limited edition t-shirts made by top designers are really expensive. Take for example the designs of Tom Rebel’s shirts. His shirts are all handmade and hand painted, which makes it much more expensive than other brands of shirts for it has no duplicate and thus considered each shirt as a work of art.
Another more expensive designer shirt is the metallic shades of gold and glam rock designed shirt for men by D and G, or Dulce and Gabbana. Each shirt is designed for clothing adventurous men, and costs nearly 400 dollars each.
